Amateur brewers, this is your moment! Submit your finest homebrew and compete against the best home brewers in Prague. Open to all skill levels.

Competition Categories

Lager & Pilsner Czech-style lagers, pilsners, Munich Helles, and other pale lager styles.

Ales Pale ales, IPAs, ambers, browns, and anything hop-forward.

Wheat & Specialty Hefeweizens, witbiers, Berliner Weisse, Gose, and experimental styles.

Dark Beers Stouts, porters, Dunkel, Schwarzbier.

Wild & Sour Saisons, farmhouse ales, lambics, and barrel-aged beers.

How to Enter

1. Register online or in person by July 18th
2. Submit 2x 500ml bottles per entry on the day
3. Entry fee: €5 per submission

Each entry is judged blind by our panel of BJCP-certified judges and The Golden Hop's head brewer.

Prizes

• Best in Show: €200 bar tab + your recipe brewed commercially at The Golden Hop
• Category Winners: €75 bar tab + trophy
• People's Choice: Voted by attendees — winner receives a full brew day with our head brewer

For Spectators

Enjoy tasting flights of all competition entries for just €12 and vote for your favourite in the People's Choice award. Results announced at 6:30 PM.

Homebrewing Workshop (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM)

Before the competition, join our head brewer for a 90-minute workshop on recipe development and fermentation. Free for competition entrants, €15 for others. Space limited to 20 participants.
